Darlene M. Schlegel

Darlene May Schlegel, 72 of Whitehall, PA. passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA. Born November 16, 1948 in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Arey and Suzanne (Smith) Arey. Darlene was a homemaker all her life, caring for her family, she attended Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Northampton, PA. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her son, David L. Schlegel, Jr. of Whitehall, PA, daughters, Judith and Jennifer, brothers, David and Yvonne Arey, Northampton, PA, Edward Arey of Northampton, PA, Daniel Arey of Catasauqua, PA, sisters, Linda wife of George Hohl of Coplay, PA, Kathleen Arey of N. Catasauqua, PA and Kristine wife of Kenneth Moyer of Walnutport, PA; 5 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service for the family will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Gary L. Walbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The public is asked to continue following social distancing guidelines along with wearing facial coverings.
