Darryl C. Moyer

Darryl C. Moyer, 76, of Palmerton, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center - Cedar Crest Campus, Allentown.  Born June 25, 1944 in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Grover Moyer, Sr. and the late LaRue (Barroll) Moyer.  He was the husband of Mary (Cznadel) Moyer with whom he shared 55 years of marriage last September 11, 2020.

Darryl was a Palmerton High School graduate who furthered his education at Apprentice School through Penn State earning him a position with the Sprinkler Systems Local Union #669, where he worked for 35 years retiring as a Foreman in 1999.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Palmerton, PA.  He enjoyed antiquing and was a collector of Griswold Cast-Iron Cookware.  His greatest pastime was attending and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events.

Survivors: Surviving along with his wife Mary Louise, are daughters, Lori-Ann wife of James Nemeth of Palmerton, PA, Gena wife of Brian Fortner of Easton, PA, and Tara Hartshorn of Palmerton, PA.  Brother, Renald Moyer of Palmerton, PA. Sisters, Lorraine Wertman of Palmerton, PA, Carolyn wife of Ron Green of Lehighton, PA, and Nancy wife of Allen Snyder of Lehighton, PA.  5 grandchildren; Merissa, Lyndsey, Jagger, Makenna, and Raegan.  He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Grover, Jr., and Delphin, and 4 sisters, Gloria, Marcy, Geraldine, and Barbara.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA  18071.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., prior to the Mass in the church.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton.
