David B. Shulman , 76, of Cherryville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in Philadelphia, the city where he was born and met the love of his life, his wife Claudia C. (Cerciello) Shulman.  He was born there on April 15, 1949, the son of the late Sidney S. Shulman and the late Jean (Perkiss) Shulman. This past August 18, 2025, marked 51 years of marriage to his beloved Claudia whom he met in 1972 while attending his alma mater, Temple University, and they were inseparable ever since.  After college, David obtained his law degree from Rutgers University and has been a pillar of the legal community in Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties and beyond since beginning to practice law in 1974, after moving to the Lehigh Valley with his wife and building their home in Cherryville.

David's legal career spanned for over 50 years, culminating in working at Shulman Law Office PC with his son, Joshua D. Shulman, Esq., who continues his professional legacy.  Whether working out of their offices in Palmerton, Northampton, or Bethlehem, he loved being a lawyer and helping people.  His advice, patience, caring, and competence was valued and appreciated by so many members of the community who came to rely upon him.

Besides his love of the practice of law, David was an avid fan of visiting Disney World, which he did often, and at one point taught a class on how to get the most out of a trip there.  Whenever possible, he also loved to play golf with his friends and family, characteristically never giving himself enough credit for his skill.  More than anything, though, he loved his family, near and far, always going out of his way to be there for them and gather everyone together.  Always considered to be a part of his family are the cats who shared his home continuously since he's been married and loved him almost as much as he loved them.

David selflessly gave to the community during his life.  Some of his involvement includes: serving on and being the past Chairman of the Lehigh Township Planning Commission for over 45 years; being a charter member and officer of the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation; being an active member of the Lehigh Township Lions Club; membership in the Carbon and Lehigh County Bar Associations, having been past Chancellor of the former;  and being elected a School Board Member for Northampton Area School District and serving as its President during his tenure.

Surviving along with his wife, Claudia, are his son, Joshua D. Shulman, Esq., of Bethlehem, PA, sister, Ellen, wife of Dr. David Tuckman of Scottsdale, AZ, brother-in-law Max Cerciello, nieces and nephews, and many beloved cousins and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, David's family would be honored by any memorial contributions given in his memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation, and/or the Disabled American Veterans organization.

Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA, has been entrusted with his care, and online condolences may be offered to the family at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com <http://www.schislerfuneralhomes.com>.
