David W. Miller, 71, of Heritage Village, Walnutport, Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of Palmerton, died early Tuesday morning, September 24, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of DeeJayne (Herman) Miller since Dec 18, 1970. Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Frank H. and Alice (Bonenberger) Miller.

David was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad, Easton, as a heavy duty equipment mechanic for 34 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Palmerton, where he sang on the choir. A 1967 graduate of Panther Valley High School, he later served his country honorably in the Air Force, Vietnam 68'-72', achieving the rank of SSGT. He was a member of the American Legion Coaldale Post 0170; the Barber Shop Chorus, later, Brothers of Harmony, Bangor and Pen Argyl; the Barnstormers Chorus, Mid-Atlantic Region.

Survivors: Wife, DeeJayne. Daughters, Jennifer D. wife of Kurt Rodenbach of Slatington, Chrissy J. wife of Don Rehatchek of Palmerton. Sons, David J. and wife Laura of Allentown, Philip A. and wife Rebecca of Nesquehoning. 6 grandchildren, Mason, Katelyn, Joshua, Jax, Andrew, and Jordan. Brothers, The Rev. Franklin J. and wife Catherine Miller of Kissimmee, FL, Bruce G., Sr. and wife MaryLou Miller of Palmerton. Numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by and infant sister, Pamela A.

Services: Memorial Services, 11:00AM Friday, September 27, 2019, at Faith Alive UMC, PO Box 177, 678 Pine Street, Palmerton, PA.  Interment is with Military Honors , at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, PA 18252.
