Dean R. Kercsmar,
50, of Lehighton, East Penn Township, Pennsylvania, was suddenly taken from us at home early Friday morning, December 29, 2017. He was the husband of Lisa J. (Farber) Kercsmar since May 1, 1993. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Richard D. and Roseanne E. (Zelinski) Kercsmar.
Dean was employed as a foreman at Blue Pressure Casting, Lehighton, for 29 years. He had served as East Penn Township Supervisor, and also chairman of the East Penn Township Board, and as a member of the Planning Commission. Dean was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield. A 1985 graduate of Central Catholic High School, in Allentown, he enjoyed collecting toys, being outdoors, spending time at his backyard pool, and picnics in the woods. Dean was an avid Philadelphia Flyers Fan.
Survivors:
Wife, Lisa. Daughters, Gabrielle A. and Angelica R., both at home. Brothers, Eric A. and wife Amanda Kercsmar of Palmerton, Marc J. and wife Kristine Kercsmar of Walnutport. Aunt, Paulette Lichtenwalner of Bethlehem. 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Numerous cousins.
