Deanna J. Dech

Deanna J. Dech, 86 of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born December 29, 1936 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Warren Haas and the late Eugenia (Fries) Haas. She was the wife of Dale R. Dech. with whom she shared 67 years of marriage this past year.

Deanna was a homemaker all her life caring for her family. She was an active member and Deaconess of the Church of God, Lehigh Valley, PA.

Surviving along with her husband Dale are sons, David L. Dech and wife Tina of Danielsville, PA, Dean A. Dech and wife Brenda of Northampton, PA, daughter, Dianne L. wife of Rickey Szapacs of Northampton, PA, sisters, Carol wife of Leonard Smith of Muncy, PA and Cathy wife of Willard Sargent of Coopersburg, PA; 5 Grandchildren, Kimberly wife of Skip Rossanese, Jessica wife of John Crisafulli, Korey Szapacs and wife Lisa, Derek Dech and Justin Dech; 7 Great-Grandchildren. Brother-in-law, John Benko of Center Valley, PA She was predeceased by her sister, Jeraine Benko.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday March 10, 2023 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Friends and family may call Thurs. March 9, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and March 10, 2023 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM both at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery - Northampton, PA.
