Debra "Debi" June Cope-Maisto , of Scotrun, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Bethlehem Township. Born October 26, 1957, in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of Richard W. and Shirley June (Wright) Cope of Whiting, NJ. She and her husband, Richard "Rick" Maisto were married on March 31, 1984. They would have been together 50 years at the end of this month, married for 40.

She worked as a Technical Recruiter for John Lawrence Associates for many years and then opened Debi Cope Associates before retiring. Debi was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Scotrun, PA. She was also a member of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and Education Committee, as well as the head of Women in Business. She was an active band Mom for the PME Marching Band. Debi's family and, Scotrun neighbors, and friends meant the world to her, and she treated her daughter's friends like family. Debi never went to bed without first having dessert.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by daughter, Amanda June Maisto-Shumski and husband Christopher R. Shumski of Nazareth. Her sisters, Donna wife of David Battisti  of Toms River, NJ, Denise wife of Richard Coleman of Magnolia, DE and Diane wife of John Carl of Clarksville, TN. Her brother, Richard and wife Rosie Cope of Lutz, FL, sister in law, Donna Maisto of Hamilton, NJ, nephew Shawn and wife Tabatha Coleman and their children, Eloise, Greta, and Beau, niece, Melissa Carl, and her children, Mariana, Mia, and AJ, nieces, Morgan Kotlar, Megan Kotlar, Daniella Battisti, and Emma Cope.

Services: The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a 4:00 PM funeral service, all on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA
