Delano "Delly" S. Strohl, 80, of Bridge Street, Lehighton, formerly of Aquashicola, and Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, February 27, 2019, at Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tamaqua. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Mildred (Strohl) Green.
Delly was employed by the former Scotty's Fashions Company, Little Gap, in the bagging and shipping department for 44 years. He attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Palmerton. An avid baseball fan, he enjoyed watching the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, and the Philadelphia Phillies. Delly enjoyed model trains, fishing, map reading, attending St. Luke's Adult Day Care, Lehighton, and playing his accordion.
Survivors: Cousin, Marlene S. Bollinger, with whom he resided for years, and many other cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Marlin.
Services: Memorial Services, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 5th Street and Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday in the church. Interment, Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville. Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
