Delbert D. Atherholt

Delbert D. Atherholt, 90 of East Allen Township, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Country Meadows, Bethlehem. Born April 19, 1928 in Petersville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harvey and Ruth (Althouse) Atherholt and husband of the late Nancy J.(Kolumber) Atherholt.
He worked as an electrician for Bethlehem Steel Company for 44 years before retiring in 1997. He honorably served in the US Army and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northampton.
He is survived by son, Brian J. and wife Jane Atherholt of Nazareth, daughter, Jennifer wife of Michael Zastko of Northampton, brothers, Roger Atherholt of Bethlehem, and Kevin Atherholt of Palmerton, sisters, Karen Woerner of Northampton, and Sharon Kocher of Bath, ; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers,Woodrow, Larry, and Kermit Atherholt, and sister, Jean Burke.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all on Friday, December 7, 2018, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery, Moore Township.
