Denice R. (Creyer) Budihas
, passed away peacefully at her home in Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, December 29, 2016, with her family by her side. She was 51 years young. Denice was born on February 3, 1965 in Altus, Oklahoma.
Family was the most important thing to Denice. She is survived by her parents, Larry and Kathleen (Rocket) Creyer of Lehigh Township; husband, James T. Budihas; children, Jessica Medina of Dickson City, PA, Tyler Medina of Boardman, OH, 1/c Brad S. Budihas, US Navy, Bahrain, and wife Nicole of Virginia Beach, VA, Eric Budihas and fiancée Sarah Borger of Northampton, PA; Aunts and uncles, Robert and Darlene Bird, Linda Kressley wife of the late Donald Kressley, Daniel and Nancy Creyer, Sherry Creyer wife of the late Allan Creyer. Denice had several cousins: Mike Bird, Jimmy Bird, Tommy Klotz, Tracy Patten, Michelle Ayers, Joe Creyer, Andrew Creyer, and Holly Creyer.
Denice graduated from the Northampton County Community College with a degree in medical technology. She worked for Palmerton Hospital for 21 years, leaving her job as the Department Head of Chemistry for a position at Orasure Technologies, Bethlehem, PA, where she worked for the past 10 years.
Denice will be remembered for having the most contagious laugh and smile. She was known to brighten up any room she entered. She was a talented cook and everyone always looked forward to devouring her baked goods. She was an active and dedicated member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cherryville, PA, where she served on the Altar Guild for many years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Hope Lutheran Church, PO Box 1030, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, PA 18035. Call, 12:30-2:00 p.m., Sunday in the church. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are by Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
