Denise L. Homlak

Denise L. (Wargo) Homlak , 60, of Edgemont Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died Saturday evening, October 16, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus.  She was the wife of Gerard F. Homlak since May 2, 1987.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Douglas, Sr., and Bonnie (Eckhart) Wargo.

Denise was employed as a paraprofessional/teacher assistant for the Palmerton Area School district for over 20 years, beginning at SS Palmer Elementary, later, Palmerton High School.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  Denise was a 1978 graduate of the Palmerton High School and later graduated from the Northampton Community College.  She enjoyed dancing, live music, gardening, baking, swimming, spending time in Ocean City, MD, and Sunday dinners with her family.

Survivors: Husband.  Daughters, Angela Devisser of Hebron, KY, Gabrielle wife of Cody Remaley of Slatington, and Eva Homlak and fiance Joseph Hine of Tamaqua.  Son, Austin of Palmerton.  Granddaughter, Evelynn.  Sister, Donna wife of Ron Sestok of Palmerton.  Brother, Douglas Wargo, Jr. of Palmerton.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sister, Deidra Boyer.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Sacred Heart Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 9:30-11:00 a.m., Thursday in the church.  Private Interment, Sacred Heart New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
