Diana R. Rex, 71, of Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Friday evening, August 26, 2016, at her son's residence in Little Gap. She was the wife of the late Thomas D. Rex, who passed in 2008. Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Manuel, Sr. and Anna (Kluzaritz) Guedes.
Diana was employed as a bus driver for Northern Lehigh School District, Slatington, and the Orwell School District, New York. She was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington. Diana enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and cooking.
Survivors: Sons, Robert M. and wife Anoure Fenstermaker of New Tripoli, Chris A. and wife Diane Fenstermaker of Little Gap. Step-children, Melissa Olimpaito of Palmerton, Michelle L. wife of Bill Lueck of Monument, Colorado, and Bradley and wife LeaAnn Rex. 9 grandchildren; Jessica, Brandon, Juliana, Rhys, Connor, Jacob, Sadie, Victoria, and Marin. Brother, Manuel, Jr. and wife Carol of Northampton. Nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant daughter, Mary, infant son, Joseph, and infant grandson, Collin.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Assumption BVM Church, 633 W. Washington Street, Slatington, PA 18080. Call, 1:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday in the church. Interment is at Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.
