Don A. Ruch

Don A. Ruch , 65 of Palmerton, PA, formerly of Allentown, PA passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital - Carbon Campus in Lehighton, PA. Born September 28, 1958 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Donald W. Ruch and the late Shirley A. (Woodring) Ruch. He was the husband of the late Kathleen M. (Boyer) Ruch who passed away May 28, 2012.

Don was a 1976 graduate of Northampton High School and last employed as a Bus Driver for Carbon-Lehigh IU #21, Schnecksville, PA for 2 years before retiring in 2023. Prior to he was a truckdriver for Hudson News, Allentown for 20 years, along with assisting his father and brother in their carpet installation and cleaning business. In his earlier years, Don bowled with the Thursday Night Buckeye Mixers at the former AMF Parkway Lanes, Allentown, PA. He formerly served as a volunteer Firefighter for the Allen Township Vol. Fire Co. and he served several years as the Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader for Troop #319, Allentown, PA.

Surviving are son, Joshua J. Ruch and wife Autumn of Walnutport, PA, brothers, Kerry D. Ruch of Northampton, PA, Scott A. Ruch and wife Carol of Northampton, PA and Douglas K. Ruch and wife Lori of Palmerton, PA; 2 grandsons; Wesley and Waylon Ruch. He was predeceased by son, Matthew in July 2014.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA has been entrusted with his care and arrangements.
