Donald R. Furry

Donald R. Furry, 92, of Fireline Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, PA, died peacefully early Monday morning, May 11, 2026, in his home. He was the wife of Marlea L. (Green) Furry since July 9, 1955. Born in Aquashicola, Lower Towamensing Township, he was a son of the late Penrose and Helen (Psancook) Furry.

Donald was employed as a brick, block, and stone mason for many years, He began his career with the late Walter Kelchner and Son Masonry, Palmerton. A 1951 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he later served in the Army, German Occupation, during the Korean Conflict, achieving the rank of Cpl. (T). Donald was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing, Palmerton. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid Phila Phillies Fan. Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the occasional pinochle game.

Survivors: Wife. Daughter, Cynthia A. Sorrentino and companion, John Hlubik of Allentown. Son, Timothy A. and wife Sheri of Cleveland, OH. 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anthony, and Nicholas. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy Rucci, infant Pearl, and brothers, Kenneth, and Warren.
