Donald Lewis George , 77, of Moore, OK, died October 7, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Palmerton, PA, Donnie was the son of Bartine and Mim George, owners of George's Plumbing and Heating, Inc., a long-standing and thriving business still operating in the community.
Donnie graduated from Palmerton High School in 1966, where he played football and baseball. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the service, Donnie spent time at the Pentagon, having been stationed at Fort Meyers, VA. In 1968, Donnie was then deployed to Vietnam. Following one year in Vietnam, Donnie was honorably discharged, and he spent time working as an insurance agent for Prudential. After several years in insurance, Donnie spent the rest of his working hours as the manager of several local Burger King and Golden Corral restaurants. In addition, Donnie was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Myrtle Lodge 145 in Oklahoma City. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 8706 in Moore, OK.
Survivors: Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Deborah J. (Brestovansky) of Oklahoma City. They were married for 55 years. In addition to his wife, Donnie is survived by his daughter, Melissa A. Tarman of Oklahoma City, and his son, Troy S. of Mustang, OK. Four grandchildren; Alexis D. Kissinger (Tarman) of Colorado Springs, CO, Dustin B. Tarman of Oklahoma City, OK, Dalton S. George, and Camden L. George of Mustang, OK. Three great-granddaughters; Emalyn D. Tarman, Anastasia R. Tarman, both of Oklahoma City, and Teally L. Kissinger of Colorado Springs, CO. Sister-in-law Frannie Carazo and her husband Frank of Palmerton, PA.
Services: Private . Donnie will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
