Donald J. Holschwander

Donald J. Holschwander , 85 of Whitehall, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest Campus, Allentown, PA. Born May 24, 1939 in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Walter R. and the late Elsie E. (Spengler)  Holschwander.

Donald was a high school graduate who went on to own and operate his own Tire Co. formerly known as the Thrift Tire Co., Hellertown, PA from 1961 to 1985. He merged his company with the former Hoffman / Treadway Co. of Montgomery CO. in 1985, and continued as a Sales Representative until retiring in 2000. Donald served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his brother, Thomas E. Holschwander and wife Kathryn, and sister, Shirley wife of Robert Deasey both of Whitehall, PA. Niece Helen, and nephews; Chad and Jason. He was predeceased by his companion, Ethel Parsons and a niece, Donna.

A Graveside service will be held with Military honors at 11:00 AM on Friday Aug. 30, 2024 at Bethlehem Memorial Park, 1851 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA, 18017 with the Rev. Cliffert Herring officiating. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with his care and services.
