Donald N. Kresge, Sr.

Donald N. Kresge, Sr., 77, of Meixsell Valley Road, Saylorsburg, Eldred Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg.  He was the husband of Ellen L. (Kunkle) Kresge since August 17, 1962.  Born in Weissport, Carbon County, he was a son of the late Charles N. and Arlene (Berger) Kresge.

Donald was employed as a truck driver for Interstate Dress Carriers, Lehighton, and later in the same capacity for Frantz Brothers Trucking, Kunkletown.  An avid hunter and fisherman, Donald enjoyed working outdoors, caring for his home, and helping his friends and neighbors.

Survivors: Wife, Ellen. Daughters, Nancy Lee wife of James Hoover, Theresa wife of Brian Freeby, all of Lehighton, and Donna wife of Steve Schoch of Palmerton.  Son, Donald Jr., and wife Chris Kresge of Nazareth. 6 grandchildren.  2 great-grandchildren.  Brother, Nathan Kresge of Lehighton. Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by daughter, Bonnie, sisters, Dolores, Noreen, Diane, Virginia, and a brother, Charles.
