Donald C. Lerch

Donald C. Lerch, 67 of Coplay, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown, PA. Born February 20, 1954 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Robert C. Lerch, Sr. and Emma C. (Miltenberger) Weber of Northampton, PA. He was the husband of Susan J. (Mark) Lerch with whom he shared 40 years of marriage this past February 13, 2021.

Donald was employed as a laborer for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 35 years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. He was also known as Mr. Fixit, there was no task he would not tackle and conquer.

Surviving along with his wife and mother are daughters, Nicole wife of Joshua Altemose of Emerald, PA and Rebecca A. Lerch of Catasauqua, PA, Step-Son, Eric Mark of New Orleans, LA, brother, Robert Lerch, Jr. of Exeter, NH, sisters, Jane E. Fried of N. Catasaqua, PA and Ms. Gail David of New Tripoli, PA. Eight Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 14, 2021 and Monday, November 15, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Emmanuels Union Cemetery, Emmanuelsville, PA.
