Donald A. Quay

Donald A. Quay, 73 of Slatington, PA, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital - Carbon Campus in Lehighton, PA. Born January 7, 1949 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles L. Quay and the late Letitia E.(Yarnall) Quay. He was the husband of A. Eileen (Hunter) Quay with whom he shared 50 years of marriage this past November 24, 2021.

Donald was a 1970 graduate of Millersville University earning a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts. Donald worked for Chubb National Foam, Lionville, PA for 32 years as a Bidder and in Engineering Integrations of Industrial Systems retiring in 2014. Donald and his wife were present members of Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Allentown, PA. Prior, he was a member of Heart of God Church, Pottstown, PA, and prior to that he was a member of Hopewell Mennonite Church, Pottstown, PA. Donald was always a very active member with his church, taking on roles as Deacon, Elder, Teacher, and Sound / AV Technician.

Surviving along with his wife Eileen, are daughter, Heather E. Unangst of Bath, PA, sons, Jason E. Quay and wife Leonarda of Boyertown, PA, Joshua P. Quay of Shanghai, China, and David E. Quay and wife Elizabeth of Coatesville, PA, brother, Thomas C. Quay, Sr. and wife Diane of Chalfont, PA; 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a child Erin Quay and a granddaughter, Emily Rose in 2000.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday January 29, 2022 at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, 1431 Lehigh Parkway E. Allentown, PA 18103. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the services. Interment will follow in Covenant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bath, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with his care and services.
