Donato J. Scarangello, Sr.

Donato "Daniel" J. Scarangello, Sr., 90, of Kykuit Place, Easton, Forks Township, Pennsylvania, died Friday morning, August 23, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus, Easton.  He was the husband of Gilda R. (Cardito) Scarangello since November 25, 1950.  Born in New York City, New York, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Danisi) Scarangello.

Daniel was employed as a police officer by the City of New York, retiring in 1982.  Later, he worked in security for Tiffany and Co., NY, NY.  He was a member of St. Rocco's Catholic Church, Martin's Creek, and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Martin Creek Council.

Survivors: Wife, Gilda.  Sons, John and wife Carol Scarangello of Nazareth, Joseph and wife Lisa Scarangello of Toms River, NJ.  5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Mary wife of Jim Doria of Boca Raton, FL.  Brother, Luca and wife Natalie Scarangello of Staten Island, NY.  He was predeceased by son, Daniel Jr., in 1979.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at St. Rocco's Catholic Church, 6658 School Street, Martins Creek, PA 18063.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday in the church.  Entombment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Green Pond Road, Easton, PA 18042.  Arrangements are by Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
