Donna M. Araujo

Donna M. Araujo , 68, of Lehighton, PA, passed away on January 6, 2024, at her residence. Born July 3, 1955 in Lehighton, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Burkhardt and Victoria (Solt) Burkhardt.

After graduating high school, Donna went on to attend and graduate from the Police Academy.  She became a Police Officer and served in the Pocono Region for over 20 years. Donna loved horses.  She enjoyed spending her free time around them, and even barrel raced at Don Lanes when she was younger.

Survivors: Along with her mother are niece, nephew, and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John Burkhardt, and Edward Williams, and sister, Heather Burkhardt.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 16th, at 7:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA. The family invites relatives and friends to gather from 6:00 PM, up until the time of service.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or The Wounded Warrior Project, both care of the funeral home.
