Doris W. Kennedy, 92, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, November 20, 2017, at her home. Born April 8, 1925 in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (Garr) Trine and wife of the late John R. Kennedy. She was a 1943 graduate of Nazareth High School and attended Moravian College with the class of 1947. Doris was a member of the Nazareth Moravian Church. She was a special education teacher with the Northampton County Board of Education for many years before retiring.
She is survived by daughters, Holly C. G. Kennedy of Bethlehem, and Melinda L., wife of Michael Allen of Nazareth, grandson, Trevor K. Lyons of Bethlehem, great-grandson, Jack, and her beloved felines. She was predeceased by sister, Lois Gillette.
Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Animals in Distress, both in care of the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
