Doris J. Miller

Doris J. Miller , 87 of Whitehall-Egypt, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Fellowship Manor / Community in Whitehall, PA. Born June 7, 1937, in Ironton- N. Whitehall Twsp., PA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar O. Muthard and the late Clara I. (Loch) Muthard. She was the wife of the late William H. Miller who passed away in February 1995.

Doris was last employed as a secretary for Curtis Frantz Notary/Realty. Formerly she worked parttime for the former Bob's Bakery, Weaversville, PA for several years. Doris loved to play bingo; she was a former member of the Egypt U.C.C. Church where she also assisted with Girl Scout for a few years.

Doris is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Cathy A. Weaver of Whitehall, PA, Cindy L. wife of Christopher Henry of Palmerton, PA and Barbara J. wife of Elwood Howell of Schnecksville, PA, brother, Dennis Muthard and wife Patricia of Northampton, PA, sister, Mrs. Cheryl Bleiler and Glenn Weaver of Kutztown, PA; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother, Elwood Muthard, sisters, Jean Roth and Frances Gantz, and grandson Cory Howell in 2023.

A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 23, 2025, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067 with the Rev. James W. Schlegel officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
