Doris J. Rute

Doris J. Rute, 93 of Trexlertown, PA, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown, PA. Born January 7, 1928 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul T. Millhouse and Viola A. (Erich) Millhouse. She was the wife of the late LeRoy T. Rute who passed away July 26, 2016.

Doris was a graduate of Allentown High school, who went on to work for the former Bell Telephone Co., Allentown as an operator for 7 years. She was a former member of the former Salem United Church of Christ, Allentown, PA.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday September 13, 2021 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067. Family and friends may call 10:00 AM to 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown, PA.
