Doris Skubik

Doris Skubik, 88 of Hanover Township, formerly of Northampton, died on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem.
Born February 24, 1930 in Allentown, raised in Hokendauqua, she was the daughter of the late William and Myrl (Miller) Prong and wife of the late Stephen J. Skubik who passed away in 1986.
Doris worked as a reserve person for the former Cross Country Clothes, Whitehall-Egypt, PA, for 25 years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. Church, Allentown, and a former member of the Coplay Saengerbund.
She is survived by son, Michael S. and wife LouAnn Skubik of Northampton, grandson Dylan, of Northampton, companion Gary Transue of Allentown, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, David Prong, sisters, Mary Alice Krock and Myrl Emma Dech.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, all at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Interment will follow at Coplay Cemetery, Coplay, PA.
