Doris M. Swolensky

Doris M. (Swartz) Swolensky , 92, of Craig Street, Palmerton, PA, died Saturday evening, July 12, 2025, in her home.  She was the wife of the late Peter Swolensky who passed in 2006.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Esther (Snyder) Swartz.

Doris was employed for many years as a seamstress for the former Bowmanstown and Weissport Garment Mills, and was a longtime member of the I.L.G.W.U.  Doris was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bowmanstown, where she was an active volunteer assisting in many activities.  Doris was also a member and waitress of the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club for many years.  She enjoyed shopping especially at Boscov's and the Hometown Farmers Market.

Survivors: Son, Thomas K. Sr., of Palmerton.  Grandchildren, Jessica M. Collins of Parryville, Jennifer L. Swolensky of Inverness, FL, Thomas K. Jr., of Palmerton.  3 great-grandchildren, Chloe Schnell, Abygail Collins, and Benjamin Mousa.  Brother, Blaine Swartz and companion Jean of Canadensis, Monroe County.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, Forrest, Glenn, Laird, and Delano.

Services: 11:00a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, Emmanuel U.C.C. 519 Hamilton Street, Bowmanstown, PA 18030.  Call, 10:00-11:00a.m. in the church.  Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
