Dorothea Ann Hessinger

Dorothea Ann Hessinger, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.
Born June 19, 1934 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Lelko) Patrouch. She was the wife of Alfred Hessinger with whom she shared 65 years of marriage last April.

Dorothea worked most recently as a lead customer representative for Aetna Insurance. Prior to that she was employed by as the lead supervisor for Hess's Warehouse & Distribution Center, Dun & Bradstreet, and the Trojan Powder Company.

In her spare time, Dorothea loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed baking and cooking for them as often as she could. She also loved playing bingo and traveling around the world.

Surviving are husband Alfred, daughters, Denise Feichtel wife of Carl Jr. of Panama City Beach, FL, Diane Hessinger of Niantic, CT, and Debbie Harris wife of James of Coplay, PA; granddaughters, Kaileigh Geiger, wife of Grant, and Eryn Kelly, wife of John; and great-granddaughter Rowan. She was predeceased by sisters, Annamae Merics, Irene Turock and MaryAnn Patrouch.

Calling hour will be Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5-6 p.m at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. Services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
