Dorothea J. Kromer

Dorothea J. (Jacoby) Kromer , 100, of W. 27th Street, Northampton, died peacefully early Saturday morning, Sept 16, 2023, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Roland E. Kromer who passed in 1989. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Verna (Young) Jacoby.

Dorothea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. A member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton, she participated in the women's group, senior choir, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, volunteer in kitchen baking and serving in the shoofly pie fund raising program for many years. Dorothea enjoyed volunteering for the Northampton Area Food Bank and helping her friends and peers for whomever needed a ride.

Survivors : daughter, Barbara A. wife of Thomas Szerensits of Northampton. grandson Michael of Northampton. niece, Shirley. She was predeceased by son Ronald C. in 2006, grandson Mark in 1993, and her brother, Wilfred "Bill" Jacoby.
