Dorothy L. David

Dorothy L. (Jones) David , 85, of Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA, died peacefully Wednesday morning, October 22, 2025, at Gracedale Home, Nazareth.  She was the wife of the late Joseph S. David, who passed in 2007.  Born in Northampton, she was a daughter to the late Stanley and Lucy (Nonnamaker) Jones.

Dorothy was employed in the purchasing department of the former Allentown State Hospital, Rittersville.  She attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton.  Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo at the Northampton Memorial Community Center, and working on her crocheting projects.  She was a 1958 graduate of the Coplay High School.

Survivors: Daughter, Rebecca A. Nehilla-Liggitt of Catasauqua.  Son, Matthew and wife Sherry Focht of Bethlehem.  3 grandchildren.  1 great-grandchild.  Sister, Ellen Smith of Omaha, NE.  Nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son, Steven Focht in 2024, a granddaughter, sister, Elizabeth Shirk, and a brother, Robert T. Jones.
