Dorothy G. Gombotsh, 76, of Mahanoy City, PA, formerly of Whitehall, PA, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at Lehigh
Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus. Born September 9, 1939 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late
Lester and Dorothy (Dilliard) Mahlon. She was the wife of Walter W. Gombotsh with whom she shared 45 years of
marriage last September 7, 2015.
Dorothy was a single needle operator for the former Grief Co. of Allentown for 30 years before retiring in 1985. She
was a loving wife and mother caring for her family.
Surviving along with her husband Walter are: son, Rodney Lilly of Seemsville, PA; daughter, Debra Yerger of
Mahanoy City, PA; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter, Donna
Bergstresser in 2014, and a brother, Lester and two sisters, Jean Rummell and Gloria Trapp.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2015 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119
Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the services. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill
Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
