Dorothy A. (Hyland) McGinnis , 88, of Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton, Carbon County, PA, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, August 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp., Allentown.  She was the wife of the late Cleve McKeehan who passed in 1964.  Born in Port Carbon, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Leo A. and Margaret (McGinty) Hyland.

Dorothy was employed as an office manager by Swiss Farms, Broomall, for over 18 years.  Later, she was employed by The Camera Shop, Broomall, until retirement.  Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  She was a 1956 graduate of Nativity High School, Pottsville, Schuylkill County.  She was a member of the Concourse Club, Palmerton.

Dorothy's greatest enjoyment in life was raising her children, spending time with her family, and being "Nana" to her grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, going to the beach, and cheering on Philadelphia's sports teams.  She always had a smile on her face, and her heart and home were always open to friends and family.

Survivors: Daughters, Susan wife of Lawrence Scarboro of Broomall, Sharon Moccia, fiance of Kevin Keaveney of Newton Square, and Sandra M. wife of Nicholas Masington of Lehighton.  Sons, Joseph and wife Meghan McGinnis of West Chester, and Matthew and wife Germaine McGinnis of Conshohocken.  11 grandchildren. 1 great-grandson.  Sister-in-law, Susan wife of Victor Hundt of Franklin.  Many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and son-in-law, Aldo Moccia in 2006.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m., Wednesday in the church.  Private Interment, St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Cemetery, Freehold, NJ.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
