Dorothy R. Karpyn

Dorothy R. Karpyn, 93 of Egypt, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Born February 24, 1927 in Egypt, she was the daughter of the late William and Katie (Novak) Shafnisky and wife of the late William Karpyn.

She was the former Postmaster for Whitehall for many years before retiring.

She is survived by sons, William J. Karpyn of Egypt and John M. Karpyn of Germansville, daughter, Deeda wife of James Maurer of Tarpon Springs, FL, sisters, Catherine Shafnisky of Whitehall, and Martha M. Shafnisky of Egypt, and four grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers, David Shafnisky, William Shafnisky, Alfred Shafnisky, Thomas Shafnisky, and Richard Shafnisky.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
