Dorothy R. Lauer

Dorothy R. (Rehrig) Lauer , 92, formerly of Rock Street, Lehighton, Franklin Township, Pennsylvania, died peacefully early Friday morning, November 29, 2019, at the Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late Thomas L. Lauer who passed in 2001.  Born in Franklin Township, she was a daughter of the late Frank Lewis and Martha Leona (Goldberg) Rehrig.

Dorothy was employed as a seamstress and machine operator by Peerless Garment Mill, Lehighton.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and a member of People's EC Church, Lehighton.

Survivors: Daughter, Paulette J. Lauer wife of Doug Rallis of Exton, Denise K. wife of Michael Mesics of Palmerton.  Sons, Michael T. and wife Donna Lauer of Mitchellville, MD, Steven A. and wife Rhonda Lauer, and Kelly R. Lauer, all of Lehighton.  Stepsons, Jack Lauer of Reading, Francis and wife Joy Lauer of Lehighton.  9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Isabelle Rabuck of Lehighton.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Rehrig in 1955, a grandson, Jeremy, sisters, Pauline Eckhart, Myrtle Rehrig, Edna Reinhart, Catherine Klotz, Pearl Zimmerman, Helen Troxell, and brothers, Robert, Ethan, and Norman.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, in the funeral home.  Interment, Franklin Heights Memorial Park, E.
