Dorothy Ann Rayden

Dorothy Ann Rayden , 85 of Northampton, PA passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA. Born April 6, 1939, in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Rayden and the late Margarete (Snyder) Rayden.

Dorothy was a 1957 graduate of Northampton Senior High School who went on to work for the former Hess's Department Store, Allentown, PA as a Retail Sales Manager for 44 years before retiring in 2001. Dorothy loved history, especially Civil War Era History, she enjoyed searching for antiques and hunting for unknown treasure with the metal detector.

She is survived by a brother, Kenneth C. Rayden, Sr. of Bethlehem, PA, sisters, Mrs. Joanne Kaintz of Northampton, PA and Mrs. Nancy Hammer of Coplay, PA., and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday December 27, 2024, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Robert J. Gutekunst officiating. Family and friends may call from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the services. Future interment will be private for family in the Allen Union Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
