Dorothy E. Shupp

Dorothy E. (Krex) Shupp, 90, of Centre Street, Parryville, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Wednesday evening, December 26, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital - Gnaden Huetten Memorial Campus, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late Charles R. Shupp, Sr., who passed in 1993.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Edwina G. (Jones) Krex.

Dorothy worked as a retail clerk for the former Krex's Store, Palmerton, for many years.  Later, she was employed as a waitress by the City View Diner, Whitehall.  A 1946 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she also attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  Dorothy enjoyed being a member of the Palmerton Over 60 Club.

Survivors: Daughter, June E. Hudock, with whom she resided.  Sons, David J. and wife Susan Shupp of East Penn Township, Jeffrey P. Shupp of Arizona, and, John R. Shupp of Franklin Township.  12 grandchildren.  19 great-grandchildren.  6 great-great-grandchildren.  3 nieces, 2 nephews.  She was predeceased by son, Charles R., Shupp, Jr. in 1998, a sister, Dolores Fabian, and brother John Krex.

Services: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2019, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 1:00-2:00 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish's New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
