Edgar G. Benninger, Jr.

Edgar G. Benninger, Jr., 95 of Whitehall, PA. died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 6, 1921 in Whitehall- Stiles, PA, he was the son of the late Edgar G. Benninger, Sr. and Martha (Fahringer) Benninger. He was the husband of the late Marie M. "Sue" Benninger who passed away February 2015.
Edgar was a machine operator for the Fuller Co. of Catasauqua, PA. for 30 years before retiring in 1983. He served his country as a PFC in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are daughter, Linda E. wife of Dennis Kressley, and son, Bruce L. Benninger and wife Shirley both of Northampton, PA, sister, Evelyn Rothdeutsch of Coplay, PA; 3 grand children; 5 great grand children. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard earlier this year.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Todd Fennell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the services. Interment with military honors will follow in Zion Cemetery,
Northampton, PA.
