Edith W. Foster

Edith W. (Mantz) Foster, 102, of Mauser Street, Laurys Station, N. Whitehall Twp, died peacefully Friday afternoon, February 4, 2022, at Riverton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Foster who passed in 1991. Born in Laurys Station, she was a daughter of the late Albert C. and Mary A. (Cunfer) Mantz.

Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed being a private seamstress and clothing maker for many years. The eldest member of St. John's United Church of Christ Church, Laurys Station, she was part of the quilting group for many years and member of the Laurys Station Vol Fire Co. Auxiliary. Edith was a 1937 graduate of the Northampton High School.

Survivors: daughter, Linda J. Schmall of N. Whitehall Twp. 3 grandsons, David and wife Robin of Slatington, Michael of Whitehall Twp, Dean and wife Doris of N. Whitehall Twp. 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, and 3 brothers.

Services: Graveside Services, Noon Friday, St. John's UCC Cemetery, Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, N. Whitehall Twp. Arrangements, Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton.
