Edith L George-Peters

Edith L. George - Peters, 87 of Bethlehem, PA, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus in Bethlehem, PA. Born March 10, 1929 in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar G. and Verna I. (Remaley) Miller. She was the wife of Clark J. Peters, Sr. with whom she shared 34 years of marriage this March 11, 2016. Edith was last employed in housekeeping at Cedarbrook County Home, Allentown for 8 years before retiring in 1988. Prior to she worked as a machine operator at the former Polly G Blouse Mill and various other mills in Palmerton for 38 years. She was a member of Church of the Manger U.C.C. church, Bethlehem, PA.
Surviving along with her husband Clark, Sr., are son, Delbert E. George and companion Agnes Souders of Kunkletown, PA, daughters, Diana L. Bollinger and Dorthea E. wife of Paul Strohl both of Palmerton, PA, Step-Son Clark J. Peters, Jr. and wife Beth, Allentown, PA; brother, Elvin Miller of Pasadena, CA, sister, Miriam Oswald, Pompano Beach, Fl.; 6 grandchildren, 2 Step-grandchildren, 10 great-grand children, 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters and a granddaughter Tracy Huszar.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 2, 2016 at Church of the Manger UCC, 1401 Greenview Drive, Bethlehem, PA. 18018 with the Rev. Sharon Harfman officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. 18067, and 10am -11am Sat. 4/2/16 prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow in Schoenersville Cemetery, Bethlehem - Hanover Twsp., PA.
