Edith L. Lentz

Edith L. (Semmel) Lentz , 96, of Ore Street, Bowmanstown, PA, died peacefully Sunday morning, April 28, 2024, at VNA Hospice House St. Luke's, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Nevin D. Lentz who passed in 2013. Born in Mahoning Twp., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kidden) Semmel.

Edith was employed in the testing dept of the former Atlas Powder Co., Reynolds. Later, she worked as a machine operator for the former Lars Sportswear Co., Lehighton. Edith was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown. She was lifetime member of the Bowmanstown Vol Fire Co., and member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors: Daughter, Sheryl A. wife of Stephen Gerkovich of Nazareth. 4 grandchildren, Michael, Anne, Bethany, and Emily. 5 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant daughter, Deborah, and son, Dennis D. Lentz on April 14, 2024; sisters; Emma Sorber, Miriam Christman, Evelyn Rudelitch, and Myrtle Arner, and brothers, Robert, Woodrow, Meryl, and Walter, half brothers, Clayton Green, and Martin Green.
