Edna Balent

Edna "Aunt Cookie" Balent (Daley) , born on June 7, 1944, in Swoyersville, Luzerne County, PA, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2025, In Saylorsburg, PA.

Edna was a beloved presence to those who knew her, remembered fondly by many as "Aunt Cookie". Her warmth and enduring spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of sharing her life.

Survivors: She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (2000). Edna is lovingly remembered by her children, Jim and his wife Holly; Tom and his wife, Julie; Kari and her husband , Tom Mesko; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; her pup, Roxi, who will miss her dearly and her devoted companion and caregiver, Joe Polacek. Their care and presence brought comfort and companionship throughout her later years.

An intimate graveside service will be held for her children and companion to honor Edna's life with the closeness and dignity she cherished. Entombment, Assumption BVM Mausoleum, Cherryville Road, Northampton.
