Edna Elizabeth Gardner

Edna Elizabeth (nee Hartley) Gardner , 92 of Painesville Twsp., Ohio died on June 7, 2024, at her home. Born February 13, 1932 in Trenton, NJ., she was the daughter of the late James Hartley and the late Hilda (Schisler) Hartley. Edna married Henry S. Gardner on June 24, 1950 in Allentown, PA, together they  celebrated 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2000. Edna lived most of her life in Bethlehem, PA, until moving  to Painesville Twsp., OH. in 2002. Edna was a homemaker most of her life, working periodically in various clerical positions and raising two sons.

She is survived by sons Douglas Gardner of Painesville Twsp, OH and Richard Gardner and wife Lisa of Hellertown, PA, ; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother, Robert Hartley, Sr.  and wife Claire and nephew Robert Hartley,Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday July 18, 2024 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM -10:30 AM prior to service. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Northampton, PA.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions in her memory to be offered to St.Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospital.
