Edna M. Schoenberger

Edna M. (Smith) Schoenberger , 84, of Getz Dawl Road, Palmerton, Eldred Township, Monroe County, PA, died peacefully Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2022, at Brookmont Healthcare Center, Effort, Chestnuthill Township.  She was the wife of the late Mark S. Schoenberger who passed in 1996.  Born in Kunkletown, she was a daughter of the late Guy U. and Jennie (Bollinger) Smith.

Edna was employed as a seamstress for the former Nova Sportswear Co., Brodheadsville, and also for the former Scotty's Fashions, Little Gap.  She was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville, and past auxiliary president of the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company, Kresgeville.  Edna was known for her outstanding baking, and enjoyed caring for her grand and great-grandchildren.

Survivors: Daughter, Annette L. Masferrer of Jonas.  Son, Kenneth S. Schoenberger of Eldred Township.  4 grandchildren, Tracy, Deidre, Angela, and Mark.  4 great-grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Ayden, and Asher.  Sisters, Edith wife of Ed Colwell of Norcross, GA, and Elsie Maury of Allentown.  Brothers, Gilbert and wife Linda of AZ, and Lyle and wife Anna of Effort.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by daughter, Wanda Pettit (2021), sister, Elizabeth Moyer, and brothers, Marlon, and infant brother, Melvin Smith.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022, Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) PA 18071.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday in church.  Interment, Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
