Edna L. Smale

Edna L. (Walck) Smale , 90, of Fireline Road, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2019, at Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late Leroy "Roy" W. Smale who passed in 2010.  Born in Bowmanstown, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Gussie (Koch) Walck.

Edna was employed as a seamstress by the former Franklin Fashions Company, Lehighton, retiring in 1991 after many years.  She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Edna was a 1946 graduate of the Palmerton High School, and she attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing.

Survivors: Daughters, Janet E. Smale-Rea of Lehighton, Patricia Kurtz of Slatington, Lisa L. Henritzy of Palmerton.  Sons, Dennis and wife Denise (Marie) Smale of Lehighton, Scott Smale and companion Mary Ziegenfus of Lehighton.  Grandchildren, Kimberly Pudliner, Dennis Smale, II, Michael Kurtz, Brooke Kurtz, Samantha Kurtz, Scott Smale, II, and Matthew Henritzy.  6 great-grandchildren, Landon, Luke, Beau, Cobe, Leslie, and Mischa.  She was predeceased by 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
