Edward C. Bleiler, 75 of Northampton - E. Allen Twsp., PA passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Born July 27, 1945 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles H. Bleiler, Jr. and the late Nadine (Rader) Bleiler. He was the husband of Karen K. (Hoke) Bleiler with whom he shared 25 years of marriage last May 27, 2020.

Edward was a 1963 graduate of Allentown High School who then went to work in the telecommunications field working for Verizon as a Line Splicer for 41 1/2 years before retiring in 2007. He was a member of the Faith Family Fellowship Church, Nazareth. Edward was a past member of the Germansville Lions Club, acting President of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers, member of the C.W.A. Union, and a former Boy Scout Troop Leader, Allentown, PA. Edward served his country as a ICFN in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. One of his greatest joys was being Santa Claus for so many children for so many years with his favorite Mrs. Claus by his side.

Surviving along with his wife are son, Neil Bleiler and wife Rochelle of N. Catasauqua, PA, step-daughters; Michele (Hoffman) Roberts of Northampton, and Cheryl Hoffman of Bethlehem, PA, step-son, Michael Hoffman of Bath, PA, brother, Jeffrey Bleiler of Clarkridge, AR, sisters, Darla Scoville of Alliance, OH and Deborah wife of Lester Wenger of Allentown, PA; 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Susan (Miller) Bleiler in 1989 and his son, Edward Bleiler, Jr. in 1995.

A Public calling time for friends and family will be held on Thursday June 3, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. A Private Family Memorial Service with Interment and honors at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, will be at the convenience of the family. The public is reminded to continue wearing facial coverings while indoors.
