Edward M. Marx, 58, of Scenic Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Jonas, died suddenly Monday morning, April 11, 2016, in his home. He was the husband of Melissa L. (Reinhard) Marx since June 26, 1998. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William J., Sr. and Helen M (Laufik) Marx.
Ed was employed by Labor Union Local #1174, Allentown. He enjoyed living in the country, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and motorcycle enthusiast.
Survivors: Wife, Melissa. Daughters, Mariah Marx of Northampton, Theresa Marx of Kunkletown, Shelby Marx wife of William Bast of New Tripoli, Colleen Marx and fiance Ed Meckel of Slatington. Son, Edward C. of Kunkletown. 7 grandchildren, Kiersten, Jocelyn, Olivia, Eddie Jr., Thaddeus, Miley, and Cecelia. Sister, Ann Marie wife of Lou Chiesa of Zionsville. Brothers, William and wife Kim of Whitehall, Frank and wife Pauline of Danielsville. Nieces and nephews.
Services: Memorial Services, 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Call, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Monday, prior to services at the funeral home. Private Interment.
Contributions may be made in his name to the St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
