Elaine D. Eckhart

Elaine D. (Bartholomew) Eckhart , 63, of Little Gap Road, Kunkletown, Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Tuesday morning, September 8, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  She was the wife of Harry L. Eckhart since October 22, 1983.  Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Clair R. and Dorothy H. (Zanders) Bartholomew.

Elaine was employed as a head cook at Bush's Personal Care Home, Kunkletown, for over 27 years.  As an avid Clint Black Country Music Fan, she enjoyed camping, volunteering/helping with her daughter's girl scout troop. She was a 1975 graduate of the Lehighton High School.

Survivors: Husband, Harry.  Daughters, Jaclyn L. wife of Troy Costenbader of Kunkletown, and Nicole M. Eckhart of Kunkletown.  1 grandson on the way.  3 grandpuppies.  Sisters, Sandra wife of Milton Solt, Jr., of Bowmanstown.  Brother, Robert and wife Mary of Parryville.  2 Aunts.  Several nieces and nephews.  Cousins.  She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Louise Bortell.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020 and 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday in the funeral home.  Interment, Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Church Drive, Trachsville.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
