Elaine M. Skrapits

Elaine M. Skrapits, 90, of Northampton formerly of Walnutport, PA, passed away on June 14, 2022 at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton, PA.  Born in Allentown, PA she was a daughter of the late Ernst A. and the late Mildred S. (Schmoyer) Walters.  She was the wife of the late Frank S. Skrapits who passed away January 2020.

She, along with her husband Frank, co-owned the former Frank's Market of Walnutport, PA for thirteen years before retiring in 1983.  Prior to, she was a sewing machine operator for the blouse mill in Danielsville, PA for several years.  She was a long-time member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Walnutport, PA.  In her early years, she was a member of the 4-H and she actively showed Black Angus steer.  More recently, she was active with the American Cancer Society and their Relay for Life program.

She is survived by two daughters, Bridgett F. wife of George Reese of Walnutport, PA and Rita Green of Palmerton, PA.  Son, Stephen F. Skrapits and wife Katrina of Danielsville, PA.  Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two daughters, Bertha Ann Skrapits and Lydia Mack.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Road-Berlinsville, Walnutport, PA 18088 with the Rev. Adam Sedar officiating.  Friends may call 9:30 AM-10:30 AM in the church.  Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
