Eleanor M. Burnard

Eleanor M. (Schiavone) Burnard, 83, formerly of Franklin Street, Nazareth, died peacefully Tuesday morning, Dec. 7, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton. She was the wife of the late Martin J. Burnard who passed in 1998. Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Leonard, Sr. and Elizabeth (Shook) Schiavone.

Eleanor was employed as a receptionist for her daughter's counseling practice, Theresa L. Applegarth, LPC, Easton. Previously, she worked in custodial services for Wal-Mart, Palmer Twp, and the Nazareth Area School District. Eleanor was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth.

Survivors: daughter, Theresa L. wife of Charles Applegarth of Forks Twp. sons, Mark and wife Kelli of Lamar, AR, Matthew and wife Michele of Nazareth. 8 grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Nicole, Johnathan, Andrew, Gavin, Jacob, and Ada. 10 great grandchildren. sisters, Ruthann wife of David Felker of Mount Bethel, Sandra wife of Robert Morris of Moorestown. brothers, Leonard, Jr. and wife Marcia Schiavone of Pen Argyl, Peter and wife Denise Sipos of Martins Creek, Mike and wife Tracy Sipos of Easton. numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Rudolph "Randy" in 1967.

Services: 11:00AM Saturday, Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Call, 10-11:00AM Saturday in funeral home. Interment, St. Joseph's New Cemetery, S. Easton.
