Eleanor M. Scheirer

Eleanor M. (Ruch) Scheirer , 94, of Columbia Avenue, Palmerton, formerly of E. Highland Street, Allentown, died peacefully Thursday morning, May 1, 2025, at Bush's Personal Care Home, Kunkletown. She was the wife of the late Maurice A. Scheirer who passed in 2004. Born in Kreidersville, Allen Twp, she was a daughter of the late Paul M.T. and Minnie A. (Traugher) Ruch.

Eleanor was employed as a tester by the former Western Electric Corp, Allentown, later, At & T Corp, Lucent Technologies, and Agere. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Palmerton. Eleanor enjoyed crocheting, texting her family and friends, and working on puzzles.

Survivors: daughter, Deborah A. wife of Stephen Hansut of Palmerton. grandson, Michael R. Spairana, III and his wife Kristy of Bowmanstown. great grandson, Korey Spairana and his partner Terri. great great grandsons, Jaxxon and Brayton. step granddaughters, Vicki Kistler wife of Brent, Susan Smith wife of Brian. step great grandchildren, Ty, Mason, and Erin. sister, Diane Vining of Laurel, MD. numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine, Anna, and Oneida, brothers, Harold, Titus, Howard, and a step great grandson, Justin.
