Elizabeth M. Free

Elizabeth Marie Free, 92, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, while in the warm and gracious care of Old Orchard Health Care Center, Easton, PA, where she entertained the residents with her angelic singing voice.

She was born in Sharpsville, PA on March 7, 1926.  A few years later, her family moved to Greenville where she lived most of her life.  In 2015, she moved across the state to the Lehigh Valley area to live with her nephew Richard Hess and his wife, Theresa in Nazareth.  She went on to reside at various assisted-living facilities before going to live at Old Orchard.

Elizabeth was always a hard worker.  She often held two or three jobs at a time to help support the family.  A friend to all, Elizabeth was kind, very generous to those that needed help, and never asked for a favor in return.  She loved playing bingo with her sisters and was very lucky at the game.  Elizabeth had a great love towards animals, especially cats.

She was the daughter of Charles N. and Elizabeth (Costello) Free.  Elizabeth's grandparents were George S. and Angeline (Dewey) Free and Michael and Bridget (Kenney) Costello.  She was predeceased by a brother, Glenn H., and five sisters, Gladys L., Lottie "Leona", Goldie, Winifred "Viola" Burnett, wife of the late Ralph D. Burnett, and Ruth I. Hess, wife of the late Franklin W. Hess, and dear friends William and Marian Orr.

Elizabeth leaves behind her nephew, Richard Hess and his wife, Theresa of Nazareth, PA and their family, and dear friends, David and June Marvin of Greenville, PA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home in Nazareth and Osborne-Williams Funeral Home in Greenville.  There will be no formal services.  Internment will be held at Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville, PA, at a later date.
